The Kavanagh Story
Throughout the building industry in the Piedmont Triad, the name Kavanagh has become synonymous with “Quality and Service.” This was the premise upon which the Kavanagh’s entered the building industry in 1953 and it still holds true today. In 1986, John and Ellen Kavanagh established Kavanagh Homes, which now includes their daughters Mary Ellen Lowry and Elizabeth Kavanagh. The company began as a land developer, transitioned into building homes, and then expanded into commercial construction, creating Kavanagh Development, which builds a wide variety of commercial construction including apartment complexes, office space, and retirement communities. In the past two decades, Kavanagh Homes has built 45 communities throughout the Piedmont Triad and is today one of the largest privately owned residential developers and builders in the region.
Kavanagh Homes has an eye for how people want to live and they create communities where they would want to live themselves. Everything they do – from selecting great locations to offering the best floor plans and features to putting the finishing touches on a home– all work towards the goal of excellence. Their reward is gained from seeing the faces of the people who live in a Kavanagh Homes’ community. These high standards apply to all communities, which include low-rise condominiums, townhomes, and single-family homes.
